Student Acceptance Story:

Until two years ago, I was attending a four-year university in Korea. Most students majoring in the humanities there were preparing for national exams or aiming to enter law school.

Since I had no interest in those paths, graduating from college would have likely meant finding a job at a company. I often heard stories from alumni who had gone down that route. From their experiences, I realized that much of the work they were doing did not truly require four years of higher education — and often lacked a real sense of purpose or fulfillment.

That realization made me aware that the path I was on wasn’t the one I truly wanted. I began searching for a different direction, and eventually decided to study abroad in the United States.

To ensure I started this journey on solid ground, I chose to begin my study abroad experience through Harvest College Prep. Two years later, I successfully transferred to UC Berkeley.

Through my experience studying in the U.S., I’ve come to understand that getting into a good university is not the measure of success — it’s only the first step. And taking that first step can be incredibly challenging. One small mistake can make it hard to recover. That’s why I believe Harvest College Prep is a trusted and valuable companion for students preparing to take their own first step toward studying abroad.
